Al Anqaa

Al Anqaa works in two traditions at once: Palestinian tatreez set into leather, and full hand-embroidered garments.

The bags carry dense cross-stitched panels, roses, wheat ears, geometric mazes, worked by hand and then mounted onto leather clutches, crossbodies, duffles and laptop portfolios. The garments are the older form of the same craft, thobes embroidered across the chest and sleeves, including a majdalawi-woven piece and a striped ikat abaya.
