Ehsan Qawasmi Art
Ehsan Qawasmi is a Palestinian visual artist from Jerusalem, holding a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Al-Quds University. She has taken part in numerous exhibitions in Palestine and abroad, including solo shows exploring identity, memory, and place.
Working across wood, ceramics, paper clay, painting, and mixed media, Qawasmi draws on Palestinian heritage: the architecture of old villages and traditional homes, embroidery, traditional dresses, and cultural symbols, reinterpreting them through a contemporary artistic language.
Her project is rooted in the concept "Our Heritage Is Our Genes." Just as we inherit our genes from our ancestors, we also inherit their stories, memories, and cultural legacy. Through her work, Qawasmi seeks to preserve and revive this heritage for future generations, affirming Palestinian identity, belonging, and a deeply rooted connection to place.
