Black Leather Long Wallet with Red Diamond-Star Tatreez

Black leather, worked edge to edge in red diamonds and stars until the pattern fills the panel. All one colour, so it reads quiet from across a room and grows more intricate the closer you get. Sized to take notes flat beside a row of cards.

It comes from Turathuna, a Palestinian leather workshop where every stitch is set by hand.

Wipe it with a soft dry cloth and feed the leather once or twice a year. Keep it out of water, and clean the embroidery gently rather than washing it.
