Cognac Leather Tote Bag with Orange & Teal Star Medallion Tatreez

Cognac leather, with a single star medallion at the centre of the front, stitched in orange and teal and framed by rows of small diamonds. One motif given room, the way a plate is given a centrepiece. The teal is the cool note in a range that mostly runs warm.

It comes from Turathuna, a Palestinian leather workshop where the embroidery is worked by hand.

Wipe it with a soft dry cloth and feed the leather once or twice a year. Keep it out of standing water, and let it dry slowly if it is caught in the rain.
